In the twenty-seventh interview session, conducted on June 23, 1993, Atiyeh continues discussing his second term as Oregon governor, with a focus on the 1983 legislative session and the 1983 and 1984 special sessions. He talks about legislation that came up during those sessions, particularly regarding consumer protections and taxes. He also discusses state funding of the arts. He then talks about Oregon’s trade relationship with Japan.
