In the twenty-fourth interview session, conducted on June 15, 1993, Atiyeh continues discussing serving as Oregon governor, with a focus on his 1982 reelection campaign. He talks about his campaign staff, about debating his opponent, Ted Kulongoski, and about the major issues of the campaign. He also discusses the savings and loan crisis of the 1980s, the situation of Oregon’s timber industry, and an investigation into the SAIF Corporation in 1982.
