Scope and Contents
Tape 1, Side 1, through Tape 2, Side 1. In the first interview session, conducted on June 29, 2016, Haffey discusses her family background and early life in Iowa and in Minneapolis, Minnesota, including her early education and her parents' jobs. She talks about moving to the Pacific Northwest in 1943. She speaks about her marriage to and divorce from Donald E. Hall. She discusses working as a bus driver for David Douglas School District and for Portland Stages in Gresham. She talks about her marriage to Vic Haffey in 1967, and about becoming a blended family of 13. She also discusses working as a bus driver for the Rose City Transit Company and TriMet from 1967 to 1992, and describes how she celebrated her final day on the job.
