Tape 6, Side 1, through Tape 7, Side 2. In the third interview session, conducted on July 29, 2011, Heintzman discusses his personal political views, and describes how ATU Local 757 chooses candidates to endorse in local and national elections. He discusses how he kept his campaign promise of increasing safety on TriMet trains and buses, and talks about his re-election campaigns. He speaks extensively about ATU International vice president Mel Schoppert, and discusses what he learned about negotiating from Schoppert. He also talks about lawyers ATU Local 757 worked with, particularly Susan Stoner.
