Scope and Contents
Tape 7, Side 2, through Tape 10, Side 1. In the sixth interview session, conducted on March 25, 2011, Nickum continues to discuss her involvement in a class action lawsuit against U.S. Bank, and describes the results of the case. She speaks about her involvement in the women’s movement and feminist groups in Portland. She talks about jobs she worked after she was fired from U.S. Bank in retaliation for filing suit, including her work for CH2M Hill and for the Friends of the Columbia Gorge. She then speaks about her work as executive secretary for Amalgamated Transit Union Local 757. She talks about people she worked with, including Ron Heintzman and Susan Stoner, about the different types of workers who are members of the local, and about TriMet contract negotiations.
