Scope and Contents
Tape 11, Side 1, through Tape 12, Side 2. In the sixth and final interview session, conducted on December 11, 2001, Schoppert speaks further about his work organizing transit workers, and about his experiences negotiating union contracts. He further discusses ATU International’s leadership and internal politics, and also talks about the management of Local 757. He discusses labor legislation he would like to see passed in the U.S., including health care reform. He closes the interview by reflecting on his accomplishments.
