Scope and Contents

The bulk of this subseries consists of files for individual cases heard by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. These files include opinions, docket sheets, draft opinions, and internal correspondence among the judges. Some files also include clippings about the case, as well as opinions for other cases, legislative texts, or other reference material that Goodwin gathered. Many opinions and original file folders bear stamps and markings made by court clerks and secretaries.
