Scope and Contents
In this interview, conducted by Linda S. Dodds and Patricia Keith on June 30, 1980, Robert E. Quoidbach (born 1925) discusses his experiences as a camper, camp counselor, and assistant camp director at the YMCA camp on Spirit Lake, north of Mount St. Helens. He speaks extensively about hiking and skiing on Mount St. Helens with the Longview Ski Club beginning in the 1940s, discussing the club’s cabin on the mountain, other club members, and the club’s activities.
