Scope and Contents
In this interview, conducted by Linda S. Dodds on November 26, 1980, Edmund Hayes, Jr. (born 1926) discusses his memories of summers with his family at the Harmony Falls Lodge on the north side of Mount St. Helens in the 1930s and 1940s. He speaks about the cabins where his family stayed, discusses other families who frequented Harmony Falls, and talks about continuing to spend summers at the lodge with his wife and children before the lodge was destroyed in the 1980 eruption.
