In this 19-page typewritten account, Patricia E. Dyke (born 1926) shares her memories of spending the summer of 1942, when she was 15 years old, at the YMCA camp on Spirit Lake, near Mount St. Helens. She also describes her experiences while working as a server at Harmony Falls Lodge near the lake in 1945. The typescript ends with a eulogy for the land, buildings, plants and wildlife destroyed by the 1980 eruption.
