Scope and Contents
Tape 7. In the sixth interview session, conducted on May 15, 2014, Edwards further discusses his experience working as an electrician in New York City during the 1980s. He talks about becoming a union steward in Local 48 after returning to Portland in 1987, and speaks extensively about his work as business manager of Local 48. He discusses his election, the job duties of a business manager, and the transition from working as an electrician to the longer hours of an administrator. He also talks about a trip he took to Germany in the 1990s.
