Scope and Contents
The collection consists of a three-volume set of scrapbooks produced by the Documentation Committee of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) to commemorate the association's 69th annual convention, held in Portland, Oregon in 1978. The scrapbooks contain rosters of committee members, as well as photographs and biographical notes of NAACP officers who attended the convention, or helped to organize and finance it. The collection also includes photographs of the original covers for the scrapbooks, which were removed for preservation purposes.
