The Gondai (2 issues), 1928
Scope and Contents
This series consists of magazines, newspapers, and other published material that the Yasui family possessed, dating from approximately 1910 to 1979. All magazines are in Japanese, while the newspapers in this series are a mix of Japanese-language, bilingual English and Japanese, and some English-language publications. The newspapers include several titles published in Japan and in the United States (but none published in the camps where Japanese Americans were incarcerated during World War II). For some newspaper titles, multiple issues are bound together with string. Additional published materials include guides, manuals, and pamphlets relating to the Second Sino-Japanese War.
