Advertising "blotter" cards for Yasui Brothers store and for wholesale products they sold (primarily in Japanese), circa 1913-1919
Scope and Contents
Materials from the Yasui Bros. store include storefront items such as hand-painted signage for sales and products, inventory records, and ephemera. The ephemera includes stationery, price lists, and a variety of Yasui Bros. advertising materials, such as coupons, mailers, and wall calendars. Wholesaler catalogs and vendor price lists and advertisements are also included. There is more English than Japanese in this category and materials span the dates of operation of the store, 1908-1941, with some wholesaler material dated 1945.
