Scope and Contents
Tape 43, Side 2, through Tape 44, Side 2. In the thirtieth interview session, conducted on July 7, 1993, Atiyeh continues to describe a 1984 trip to the Middle East, particularly Israel, and shares his opinion regarding the treatment of Palestinians. He then talks about Oregon’s trade relationships with China, Taiwan, and Japan. He also describes a 1984 trip to China and a 1985 trip to Japan. He talks about his efforts towards Oregon’s economic development.
