In the nineteenth interview session, conducted on May 21, 1993, Atiyeh continues discussing serving as Oregon governor, with a focus on the 1979 legislative session. He discusses his administration’s legislative agenda, including on pollution and taxes; talks about how the role of governor differed from his role in the Legislature; and describes his efforts to make state government more efficient. He also talks about holding regular open meetings with the public.
