Scope and Contents
Tape 6, Side 2, through Tape 7, Side 2. In the fifth interview session, conducted on December 11, 1992, Atiyeh continues discussing his service in the Oregon House of Representatives, with a focus on the 1961 and 1963 legislative sessions. He talks about his political philosophy and principles; shares his opinion on the Republican platform; and describes the legislative voting process. He discusses legislation that came up during his service in the House, particularly regarding labor laws, and talks about his fellow legislators. He also speaks about his working relationships with Democratic legislators.
