Benson, Reed D.
Biographical note
Reed Dalton Benson was born in Fremont, Nebraska, in 1962. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa, and a law degree from the University of Michigan. He was a lawyer in private practice in Colorado, and worked for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as a staff attorney for the Land and Water Fund of the Rockies. In 1993, he began working for WaterWatch of Oregon, and later became its executive director. He taught law at the University of Wyoming, and in 2008, he joined the faculty of the University of New Mexico law school.
