Stevens, Battery E, 65th Coast Artillery Corps., February 22, 1918-January 30, 1919, regarding his experiences as an American soldier in France during World War I. Stevens (1898-1979) was a native of Portland, Oregon. He became a partner in the insurance company Stevens & Brewster, served as the president of the Oregon Association of Insurance Agents, and was a member of many civic organizations.
