Collection includes correspondence, 1896-1968; documents relating to committees and commissions, 1949-1969, including Colleges for Oregon's Future, the Oregon Geographic Names Board, the Commission on the Rights, Liberties and Responsibilities of the American Indian, and the Oregon State Constitutional Revision Commission; and a last will and testament.

Collection includes documents relating to Charles A. Sprague's suit in Marion County Circuit Court, April 1948, vs. Earl L. Fisher, Wallace S. Wharton, and Carl Chambers as members of the Oregon State Tax Commission. The complaint concerned the use of excess income taxes collected by the commission.
