Abstract

The Lewelling Club of Corvallis, Oregon, was an informal organization for horticulture students and faculty at the Oregon Agricultural College (now Oregon State University). Collection includes minutes of meetings; typescript constitution and bylaws; and a typescript financial statement. Also included is an extract about the club, with a list of members, from the 1910 edition of "The Orange," the college yearbook.

McGinnis talks about her father, William Jasper Kerr, who served as president of Oregon Agricultural College, now Oregon State University, from 1907 to 1932; about other family members; and about her career as a musician and music teacher.

John G. Schroeder (1886-) was a student at the Oregon Agricultural College (later Oregon State University) and editor of the college yearbook, Barometer. He later became a Portland lawyer. Collection consists of correspondence, 1905-1916, regarding his activities at the college and editing of the "Barometer"; debate notes, 1908, regarding labor unions; and miscellaneous ephemera.
