The Lipman, Wolfe & Co. department store was opened in Portland, Oregon, in 1880 by Soloman Lipman and Adolphe Wolfe. Collection includes leases, contracts, insurance policies, trademark registration and other records regarding delivery services, shoplifting and various departments in the Portland store; documents regarding other properties owned by Lipman & Wolfe and materials used in construction of Vista House.

Fleischner, the owner of the Fleischner, Mayer, and Co. department store, and the wife of Harold F. Wendel, the president of Lipman and Wolfe department store in Portland, Oregon.
