found: Wikipedia, Feb. 9, 2017(Western Defense Command (WDC) was established on 17 March 1941 as the command formation of the U.S. Army responsible for coordinating the defense of the Pacific Coast region of the United States. The first Commanding General of WDC was Lieutenant General John L. DeWitt, who continued on in command of the Fourth U.S. Army. WDC headquarters were co-located at the existing Fourth Army headquarters at the Presidio of San Francisco. Western Defense Command was disbanded on 6 March 1946)

Broadside of Western Defense Command instructions to all persons of Japanese ancestry
The collection consists of a broadside detailing the provisions of Civilian Exclusion Order No. 46 issued by General J. L. Dewitt on May 6, 1942. The order directs all persons of Japanese ancestry in Clackamas and eastern Multnomah counties to be evacuated to Civil Control Stations for forced incarceration during World War II.
