Charles W. Love was an amateur photographer and street railway employee in Portland, Oregon. This collection, consisting of photographic prints and glass-plate negatives, features images of the employees and cars of the Portland Railway Company, the City and Suburban Railway Company, and the Portland Railway, Light, and Power Company during the period from 1898-1910. Other photographs in this collection document Brownsville, Oregon, circa 1912.

Collection includes plan of Multnomah Street railway cars, 1891; tables of cost per car hour and car mile, 1903-1904; drawing of Munley property, Willamette River Falls Railway, 1904; and distance charts for city lines, circa 1910.

Plans and drawings for streetcars, trains, and buses, as well as for related buildings of streetcar and railroad companies. Many of the plans in this collection were either produced or otherwise used by Portland Railway, Light & Power Company, which operated streetcars in Portland, Oregon, in the early 20th century.

Collection consists of correspondence, 1941-1967, memoranda, reports, court records and statistical data regarding the Rose City Transit Company; Portland Railway, Light, and Power Company; Portland Railway Company; and Portland Traction Company.
